Clandestine Girls

Yes, they look creepy. Girls with sewed up lips are so connected to horror movies. But something inspired me to draw these creepy but happy little girls. I just realized that so many people around me appear to be happy and carefree. But like everyone else born on this planet, they were born with hearts that feel. And when their hearts do feel things, they don't always express themselves. Afraid of ridicule, rejection...careful not to blurt out the things they truly feel. Everyone has secrets. And we happily keep it to ourselves. And sometimes, it IS the best thing to do. Even the Bible tells us not to say everything that we feel. Sometimes, we just hide the things that would hurt others. Things that would hurt you.
Wow..so serious.. Hehe. So these are the "Clandestine Hearts". They were born on my paper yesterday. I used an online editor to improve the colors..make them a bit more emo. Hehe.
