I DOODLE!

I doodle. I can't help it! When I'm on the phone, in a meeting (I try my best not to doodle during church meetings!), or when I'm just idle, I take up a pen and draw. Based on recent studies, doodling is actually a way to help people focus and pay attention. I'm not an artist, but I do it anyway. I usually don't plan what to draw. It just comes out. Like my pen has a life of its own...it moves around the paper while I talk or listen. Let me share some examples. DON'T LAUGH. ;)

You can clearly see my mood for the day. I was discussing about "Little Monsters" with my student, and this is what I came up with. Whataya know! I drew little monsters! And scribbled random notes too.

I have no idea who these two are. I can't even recall what the topic was when I drew this. They were born. That was that. Not so sure why I colored the hair blue.

This was a bit "planned". It was a rainy day...and I wanted to draw a happy person in the rain. Here's what came out. I cropped the hands from the picture. I can never draw the hands well enough. :(

Sad, ugly girl, isn't she? She was born in my notebook while we were talking about a sad movie "One Fine Spring Day". But analysts say that an ugly person can show a dislike of people and a bad temper.

FACES!!! I don't know why I drew so many... a doodle interpretation said that people who draw smiling faces depict a "happy-go-lucky" nature. They also say "beautiful faces are often drawn by girls, some analysts suggesting that these are idealized self-portraits". It's also supposed to indicate a sociable "people person". That means I'm friendly, baby! ^_^

I doodled my co-workers! I believe they hold a close resemblance to the real people. Hmm...I need to post real pics of them so you can compare. hehe
This is just soooo random.
There's an eye! Analysts say that drawing an eye can show a wish to be desirable. Hahahaha.

So this, my friends, is my doodle portfolio. I'm seriously thinking of buying a sketch book. Hehe. But it's really fun to doodle. Of course, you don't have fun while you're doodling. Because that's missing the whole point. You doodle without noticing. The fun comes after the doodling, and you step back, gaze at your art work and exclaim in wonder "what the fudge is this?" Oh...did you know that it's going to be National Doodle Day on March 2, 2012?
